For the first time in the history of a public sector company in India, the Finance and Accounts department of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has bagged the ISO 9001:2001 certificate from Messrs Bureau Veritas Quality International.

BVQI Prasad Panicker, the Lead auditor gave away the certificate to Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Director (Finance) PK Bishnoi at a simple function at the Training and Development Auditorium on Saturday. He said that it was the first time that BVQI had presented the ISO Certificate to an individual department in a corporate organization. Top officials of the plant were present on the occasion.
