Funding to be used to set up a mini tool room
The Central Government has sanctioned Rs.10 crore for setting up of a mini tool room at the Indo Germen Institute of Advanced Technology that was established in collaboration with the State Government, Federal Republic of Germany and Gayatri Vidya Parishad. The institute is part of chain of institutions created by the Union Government and is on the lines of CRISP, Bhopal. The tool room is expected to be operational by August next.
The infrastructure and facilities available at IGIAT are industry friendly and the instructors are hand picked from institutions like NTTF, HAL etc. The Institution offers CNC programming and mechanizing, AutoCAD, Unigraphics-NX3, Autodesk inventor, Master Cam, Programmable Logic Controllers, Hardware and Networking, Total solutions GIS and GPS courses. It organized a symposium on ‘Keeping pace with Technology’ and an interactive meet with the teaching faculty of various colleges and institutions on November 28.
Principal of AU Engineering College Prof. A Apparao, Society of IGIAT vice president B Swamy and Director Ramesh and others participated on the occasion.
